Monografia ta jest osadzona w nurcie określanym w języku polskim jako pozytywna nauka o organizacji. Jest to nurt wciąż stosunkowo mało znany w polskim środowisku naukowym, w związku z czym jestem w pełni przekonana, że rynek wydawniczy potrzebuje prac rozwijających i upowszechniających go. Pozytywne przywództwo, którego konceptualizację przedstawia Przemysław Zbierowski, jest jednym ze zjawisk kluczowych dla nurtu pozytywnej nauki o organizacji. Zjawisko to, jako przedmiot badań i wykorzystania w praktyce, nie doczekało się dotąd spójnej i przyjętej przez wszystkich definicji oraz operacjonalizacji. Istnieją także istotne luki badawcze w odniesieniu do efektów oraz mechanizmów oddziaływania pozytywnego przywództwa na pracowników. Adresując te luki, monografia wnosi bardzo istotny wkład w rozwój dyscypliny nauk o zarządzaniu i jakości.

Dr hab., profesor Uniwersytetu Ekonomicznego w Katowicach. Jego zainteresowania badawcze koncentrują się wokół przedsiębiorczości, pozytywnej nauki o organizacji, zachowań organizacyjnych, psychologii zarządzania i zarządzania zasobami ludzkimi. W szczególności zajmuje się zagadnieniami przywództwa oraz dobrostanu przedsiębiorców i ich rodzin. Kierował kilkoma projektami badawczymi, a od 2011 roku prowadzi w Polsce badania Globalnego Monitora Przedsiębiorczości (Global Entrepreneurship Monitor). W latach 2018-2021 pracował w Kings College London, gdzie współtworzył i od momentu powstania współkieruje projektem badania postaw i zachowań przedsiębiorców w obliczu niepewności w 25 krajach. Obok aktywności badawczej i dydaktycznej prowadzi szeroko zakrojoną działalność szkoleniową i doradczą, w szczególności w zakresie wsparcia powstających firm.Książki tego autora
