Stanowi ciekawe uzupełnienie literatury naukowej w ramach dwóch dyscyplin nauk społecznych – nauki o polityce oraz nauki o bezpieczeństwie. Autor w analizowanej książce koncentruje się na tłumaczeniu konfliktu izraelsko-palestyńskiego z perspektywy Stanów Zjednoczonych, jedynego gracza mogącego mieć realny wpływ na trwanie/zakończenie tegoż konfliktu. Sytuacja geopolityczna oraz dynamika zmian na Bliskim Wschodzie zasługują na zainteresowanie ze strony badaczy współczesnych stosunków międzynarodowych, zwłaszcza ze względu na znaczenie tego regionu w polityce i gospodarce światowej. Wśród publikacji w języku polskim są dostępne opracowania poświęcone wybranym aspektom konfliktu palestyńsko-izraelskiego, natomiast wyraźnie zauważalny był brak monografii, która dotyczyłaby uwarunkowań polityki Stanów Zjednoczonych wobec tegoż konfliktu w trakcie obu palestyńskich intifad.
