Gawliczek Piotr
(Assoc. Prof.) Ph.D. graduated from Polish Naval Academy Gdynia. In 2001 he attended Strategic Course of the Command and Staff College of the Bundeswehr. In 2004 he completed Ph.D. studies at the National Defence University Warsaw. In 2005 he attended the High-Level Course of the European Security and Defence College (ESDC). He also completed the Senior Course of the NATO Defense College, Rome (2006). In 2009 he defended his postdoctoral thesis (habilitates) on asymmetric threats. His research and educational activities are focused on information and communications technologies (ICT), Advanced Distributed Learning, and mobile learning within education and training. He is also focusing on asymmetric threats, strategic communications, leadership issues, and the Bologna Process. He supports the efforts of the partner countries within the Defence Enhancement Education Programs (DEEP). He has written numerous publications on questions of ICT, e-learning, Bologna Process, asymmetric threats, and leadership. He has implemented e-learning/ADL system solutions, based on the LMS ILIAS platform, in many military and civilian educational entities. Doctor honoris causa of the National Defence University of Ukraine, Kyiv (2020).
